    Portimao May 16-18 '24

Just back from another trip to Portimao. On the bike I managed to get a 2:02.99 (No we're not calling that a 2:03 :p ) whereas before on the Gen3 I only managed a 2:05 in 2022. The data log shows I had 2:01 pace if I could have strung a lap together with all my best sectors. The Gen 5 is...

    In&Motion Airbag Compatibility

Does the In&Motion airbag control unit work across all brands? I have an RST Airbag suit and an In&Motion control unit. If I buy a Klim/Ixon etc airbag for street use with an appropriate touring jacket, will it just work?

    Engine braking setting

Just curious, what level of engine braking are people using on track in the Pro Modes? Watching @spike 's latest video where he says he uses a lot I was wondering what others prefer. I think I need to have a play with it next week...

5 Minute Glove Review - Knox vs Racer

Because my RST Tracktech Kangaroo gloves didn't fit well and fell apart all too easily, I have had to buy another set of gloves for this year (and hopefully beyond!). Just had delivery of 2 pairs to compare and keep one; Racer High Speed £220 Knox Handroid Mk5 £250 From Sportsbikeshop. TL;DR I...

    Worst jobs on these bikes

I am putting it out there that changing the exhaust on the K46 and K67 is the worst. What is outwardly straight forwards is the single most frustrating and god awful experience. Removing the stocker; brackets impossible to get normal tools on, a radiator that won't move out of the way even...

Part For Sale K46 Fuel Tank - Black

Black tank without internals available. No dents, but the paint has been worn by race fairings. Ideal base if you're looking for a track tank or replacement which you'd spray up to suit your bike. Decent spare to have on a shelf just in case too... £200 shipped within the UK.

    Motorcycles in bus lanes

Govt want to hear views. https://www.gov.uk/government/consultations/motorcycles-in-bus-lanes?fbclid=IwAR1xCMbmplY-rOUsQc8-Y5vAFHK-W6pzXoXGmhAW-E2H0PuAdXAboQNaW-o Yes please. Safer for motorcyclists, it should be default in all council areas, but they have proven they don't care. It needs to...

Spike Edwards - S1000RR - HP Datalogging Information

Spike has started posting some really good vids that go through the usage of the BMW HP Datalogging systems. He's still learning himself but he's been willing to show what he's learned. If you've got it, or are considering one, it's worth a watch, I've picked up a trick or two already and I...

2024 Road Bike Trackdays - BMW Club

In case you're not on the mailing list and are interested, there are 3 Road Bike only events this year being put on by the BMW Club managed by Rob Bensley. These are not race days they are more relaxed, lots of people go to them for their first taste of track riding. Bob's days are popular with...

    Snetterton 26/27/28 April 2024

Morning All, I've booked on with No Limits for the 26th and 27th of April and MSVT for the 28th of April at Snetterton this year. Let me know if you're coming to all or any. There's an open pitlane on the Monday too for the seriously committed (3 days is enough for me).

    2024 Euro's

As 2023 rolls to a close, I am slowly turning my eye to 2024. Booked Mugello for August with FE cause a chap I know from other events is going. (it's not really their event they just buy a groups worth of spaces from a local TD co.) Looking to do Portimao, the Redline event has my eye for...

K67 2020 Broken Rod Bearing Video

Found this super interesting. Race engine threw a rod bearing on piston no.1. I've linked to the time in the video where it's revealed but I thought the whole video was interesting from the point of view of seeing the engine being torn down.

    Bike Cover - tight fitting

I am in the market for a good cover for the '23 K67 with wings etc. Ideally it will be a stretch fit, suitable for shipping or indoor storage. Holes for the handle bars a bonus. Anyone know of a good one? Sent from my SM-S9060 using Tapatalk

    Rck3 for K46

Since I have a K67 now and a Gs911 I do not need the hardware for the RCK3 I got for my K46 in 2019. The RCK3 will allow tuning of the K46 ecu's (you need an unlock code for the ECU for tuning) plus diagnosis/adaption/DTC controls. I'd kept it to use the diag functions on it for my K67 but the...
